The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Fir Haven, located 15 minutes from town, is on 40 private acres that have been in the family for generations. The 600sf cottage looks out over a large field surrounded by forest, orchards, trails, canyons, and Siebert Creek. Cottage Cove is located on the North shore of beautiful Lake Quinault in the boundaries of the Olympic National Park, surrounded by mountains, forest and water. Cottage Cove is completely furnished, including BBQ grill and fire pit. Hiking, Swimming, fishing are recommended and Kayaks are available for your use. Food and people are all you need. We do have starlink internet that works great! unless we have an unexpected power outage.
