Tsuki no Yado Shiwaku is a 150-yr-old Japanese house built by Shiwaku Carpenters on Hiroshima island in the Seto Inland Sea. Reminiscent of a bygone era, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. At the entrance, you'll be welcomed by an uchikake (a type of Japanese wedding kimono) reminiscent of the Studio Ghibli classic, “The Tale of Princess Kaguya” Listen to the ocean, feel the breeze, relax & enjoy a step back in time. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests.
