Wander nearby forest trails, ride Puffing Billy, visit cellar doors or enjoy good local food and coffee. Or stay in, put on some music, and relax on the verandah while kookaburras, parrots, echidnas and wombats wander by. Right next door to Avalon Castle and an easy walk to Chae. The Dune Shack is a classic Venus Bay Beach House, perched high on the Dunes. The Shack is perfect for unwinding and watching the clouds, birds and kangaroos move across the landscape. The Shack is a 5min walk to the Village Shops, 15min walk to a Patrolled Beach and only 45min drive to Wilsons Promontory. We live in a separate dwelling on-site—here to assist if needed but won’t interrupt your relaxing stay. Visit nearby Puffing Billy Steam Train, go bushwalking, feed the friendly farm animals or settle-in for a lazy afternoon before watching the sun set.
