It is situated off the Atlantic way, close to Donegal airport and a 7 minute walk to carrickfinn beach.Local pubs,shops and restaurants are within a 3 mile radius. Ideal area for fishing,hill walking,pony trekking and kayaking. Boat trips are available to local islands i.e Arranmore,Tory and Gola. Mount errigal and Glenveagh national park are also close by.

Local pubs, shops and resturants within a three mile radius. Ideal for hill walking, diving, angling, kayaking. Boat trips to local islands. Mount Errigal, Glenveigh National Park within close prox.

We are based in an excellent position for adults/couples to explore Donegal, Sligo & Leitrim. You can enjoy walking, cycling, and horse trails locally or just soak up the scenery and relax. We are located looking over Tullan Stand which is known worldwide for its perfect surf beach breaks. *We are a working stud farm with horses and dogs/cats on-site.

Donegal Thatch Cottage

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up.

The accommodation is 9 km from the shopping town of Dungloe , and 8 km from Donegal airport. Guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking on site. Downstairs is spacious with a living room connected to a well-equipped kitchen and a sunroom. Downstairs is a bedroom with en suite shower room. Upstairs are two more double bedrooms and a bathroom.

This is an ideal place to settle into for a night or two and return to each evening after visiting the beautiful Donegal countryside. There are wonderful views from the cottage of Sleive League (Sliabh Liag) beyond.
