The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

20 acres of relaxation in the piney woods of East Texas. Easily accessible from all directions. This is not a place to exert a lot of energy unless you'd like to visit my firewood splitting department. (I may knock a few dollars off the price if you do!) Owners house is next door, Grill, smoker, fire pit, and additional outdoor shower. Pond is stocked with perch. Beautiful walking trails. Golf cart is onsite but availability may be limited. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This rustic yet modern cabin is situated on 100 acres but conveniently only 2 miles off of Highway 79 in Oakwood. It is surrounded by large ranches on all sides. No neighbors in sight. Sit on the front porch and watch for wildlife or have a visit with our livestock which could range from goats, horses or cattle. This is our first rental property and we are excited to share this well thought out cabin.
