Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Our "gite" is a self-contained 2 bedroom cottage in the most beautiful part of Salt Spring, the south eastern tip, near Ruckle Park. From our cottage, you can walk to this historic working farm and park, explore its forested trails, and then head to the many beach areas a short distance away. Visit farm stands and take the Studio Tour. Take a dip in one of many lakes. Climb Maxwell Mountain or stroll through the Saturday Market and other unique shops. Salt Spring is a true one of a kind.

Adults only, comfy spacious cottage on a private setting! Close driving distance to parks, hiking, art and culture, great views, restaurants & the beaches. A light breakfast of organic granola and fruit in the fridge is offered, as well as teas, coffees, etc. The seaside farm is down the driveway where horses, sheep, chickens, cats, and a dog live. Feel free to wander. Come have a taste of West Ganges with amazing sunsets, Mt. Erskine hiking, Earth Candy market and Wild Cider, all nearby.

Quiet, south-facing location with views over meadows and the mountains of Vancouver Island beyond. Partial ocean view! The suite features a living area with TV and comfy couch & chair. There is a queen bed and deluxe private bathroom. The suite is connected to the main house, but it has its own expansive deck and a private entrance.

It accommodates 2 comfortably with full kitchen , dining table, spacious bathroom with shower, queen size bed with reading lights, and a private patio with BBQ. Breakfast makings are provided - fresh organic wood-fired naturally-leavened sourdough bread from Francis Bread, also butter, jam, eggs, milk, coffee and tea.

Located on the North End of Salt Spring Island, about 15 minutes from Ganges, Saltaire Cottage is ideal for a getaway with friends, family or some solo peace and quiet. Venture into town and explore Salt Spring Island or just relax in your own personal oasis.

The cottage is approximately 2km from Beaver Pt Hall, 5km from Ruckle Provincial Park, 10 minutes to Fulford Harbour, and 20 minutes to Ganges. We are within walking distance to several beach accesses, Canada Conservancy forest, and a beautiful First Nations Reserve. The beaches are launch points for nearby Russell and Portland Islands in the Gulf Island National Marine Parks.
