The Garden Cottage

This is a charming flint cottage in a gorgeous rural setting. This period detached property offers relaxed, comfortable accommodation with unique character. Perfect for weekend getways or working trips. The property is situated with the grounds of a larger house backing onto meadows with sheep grazing and uninterrupted views of Suffolk countryside. The main living area is open plan with a lovely modern kitchen with table and chairs for eating at. A large leather sofa for relaxing and unwinding looking out onto your own private courtyard. In the bedroom a sumptuous king size bed to snuggle into at night and a delightfully quirky en-suite bathroom await you. In the morning enjoy a breakfast of delicious eggs laid by my chickens as I will leave breakfast essentials for you.

Our Cabin offers a cosy independent stay with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bedroom with super-king bed, luxury en-suite shower and utility with additional toilet. This eco friendly home has air sourced underfloor heating throughout and contains many upcycled items from the exterior reclaimed scaffolding boards to the many repurposed gems to be found inside. Stepping outside there is a private south facing patio and garden with its own parking space, all just a leisurely walk from town.

Cowslip - 3 bedroom modern country retreat

Cowslip houses three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen diner, dining area and lounge that can accommodate up to six people. The generous open-plan living area leads to a private and secluded outside terrace with stunning views of the meadow. The lodge contains underfloor heating throughout. As a welcome on your arrival, and to make you feel at home right away, we provide complimentary tea, coffee, a small carton of milk, sugar, bread, butter, cooking oil, eggs and a delicious homemade cake.

The Cottage is within easy access of Newmarket, the home of racing, and the market town of Bury St Edmunds. Cambridge is in easy reach with good train links to London and easy access to Stansted airport. The cottage is set off a quiet country lane with good walking and bike rides to the local villages.

The house was tastefully decorated in July 2023 and comprises of a full kitchen, king bedroom with shower ensuite and a double bedroom with shower/bathroom to suit up to four guests. Located a 30 min stroll to the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and the many restaurants/cafes of Bury St Edmunds. The house is also only a 30 min walk to the West Suffolk Hospital, so is an ideal base whether it be to explore Bury or to visit patients or work at the hospital.

Nestled in the charming village of Horringer, Lodge Gate cottage is a stones throw away from the National Park Ickworth and a 4 minute drive from Bury St Edmund’s. Our converted barn is in a peaceful location and beautiful setting. In close proximity to a stunning local nature reserve and a short drive from historic Bury St Edmunds and Lavenham. The station in the local village of Thurston offers regular services to Cambridge and Norwich. The area has plenty of country walks,great pubs and restaurants, and the Suffolk coast is within an hours drive.
