Qué vas a hacer

Through this experience i will introduce you to an exciting journey of discovering yourself. I will introduce you to ways of controlling your thoughts. You will learn about simple but powerful techniques to calm the mind under any stressful situation. We will start by understanding the sources of thoughts deep inside the mind and how these thoughts can control us. Then we will understand ways to control them. Deeply relaxing the mind and the body before meditation is extremely important. I have created relaxing techniques by combining various yoga and meditation practices, which we will experience during guided meditation session. We will start by understanding the following in details: ~Why Meditation? What is Meditation? ~How thoughts and emotions arise in your mind. Why do we feel pain or negativity from them. ~How to use some simple and powerful techniques to control the mind ~Different types of meditation technique - Shamatha & Vipasana ~Focusing object Three 15 min guided meditation session in between: 1>Learn ways to deeply relax the mind and the body 2>Focusing on the breath 3>Analytical meditation At the end we will talk about: ~ Basic rules for sustaining the practice ~ Where can we take short/long term courses in Monastery schools ~ Books to read At the end, I would be glad to discuss about any specific questions that you might have :) See you soon :)

In a corporate job since a decade. Passionate about Alternate lifestyle, Meditation and Yoga. I have been making lifestyle changes to cope up with the fast paced life that i have. I think it is becoming more and more important to understand and apply some of the ancient wisdom from Indian culture to stay physically and mentally fit. I have been an Airbnb host since more than a year now. Have met so many amazing people like you. I have been practicing and studying meditation since last few years and have completed basic and advanced studies on meditation at monastery schools like Tushita Meditation Centre(Mcleod Gunj) and Root Institute(Bodh gaya). Outside work, I like to travel and trek, I am passionate about photography(Insta - soumik_neo) and in the process of learning flute. I love meeting people and having engaging conversations.

Meditation mats to be provided for practice. Seating is primarily on the floor. Three chairs are also available for seating.

Dónde vas a estar

The activity will take place at my apartment, which is centrally located in Bangalore near 1 MG mall. We will be seated on the drawing room. The apartment is on 2nd floor with ample light and silence. Sorry that there will be no car or bike parking in the building, bike parking may be available outside the building as its a dead end road.

Pueden participar hasta 6 viajeros de 18 años o más. I generally prefer and recommend to sit on the ground(having comfortable clothing for the same is necessary) but one can choose to sit on a chair as well.
