Qué vas a hacer

This experience explores the precious movements and teachings of Lu Jong Tibetan Healing Movement, once considered to be a secret Tibetan tantric practice. Lu Jong is a gentle movement practice based in Tibetan medicine and Buddhist philosophy. It cultivates balance on the physical, mental, and energetic levels. It utilizes breath and gentle movement to open energetic pathways in the body and nourish the spine. In this experience, you will learn the first 5 movements for balancing the elements space, earth, wind, fire, and water in the body. We'll also learn breathing techniques for calming the mind. You can use these movements and breath practices as an effective tool to feel less stressed and more grounded in you daily life. They are profoundly simple and accessible to everyone! We end with a guided meditation to leave you relaxed, restored, and energized. Benefits of Lu Jong include increased organ and immune system function and greater vitality and overall health.

I fell in love with Tibetan culture and began practicing Buddhism after moving to Maui in 2009. In 2012 I lived in Nepal, studying Buddhist philosophy and art at Rangjung Yeshe Institute and hiking in the Himalayas. As a ballet teacher and life long dancer, I have always sought to balance mind and body. For me there is a deep connection. Finding balance means not only going within ourselves but also connecting to the natural world outside for inspiration.

Dónde vas a estar

We will be outside on a grassy lawn in the shade of the palms just steps from the ocean. It's beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to connect the the Elements.

Yoga is not my natural go-to so although I felt a little uncomfortable, I just had to breathe it out and not worry about how I looked. Emma provided an intro on the background of Tibetan Yoga so that was cool! And she was so kind. The park by the ocean was a perfect place in the morning!
