Qué vas a hacer

This is a rare opportunity to learn Origami with cultural backstories from a Tokyo local. It is a creative and fun experience perfect for corporate team building as well as family or friends get together!

Origami is a traditional art of paper crafting from Japan. Precision and dexterousness that are required to fold a piece of paper is CONCENTRATING as well as THERAPEUTIC.
This provides you a time to relax and share a common creative experience with people who you care. And you will create cool or lovely shapes by yourself.

You can't get the same experience on YouTube tutorials because Manami shares not only how to make Origami, but also its history as well as Japanese culture and values behind the shapes.

You will choose a few Origami from options with different skill levels. Manami will demonstrate folding step by step, emphasizing important skills. If anyone has questions or requests, she can stop to help anytime.

1. Manami introduces herself and the session
2. Manami asks one guest to introduce the group
3. Manami explains the options and confirm with the group which ones to fold
4. Manami demonstrates folding each origami step by step with her second camera showing her hands spotlighted
5. For traditional options, Manami talks about their background and related cultural stories
6. You can ask any questions or make comments during or after the session

This was a really fun activity for a work event! Manami instructions were very detailed and she made sure no one was left behind.

This is one of the best experiences on Airbnb that I have taken — and I’ve done over 100 during this “unprecedented time”. For one hour my mind and body were suspended in grace. I think it is the first time I have been truly able to relax. I signed up for more classes because I need this contemplative hour, plus I have reminders of it on my desk (lotus flower, bunny, balloon).

This was a gift to a child, she was delighted with the experience. She learned new things, and it has sparked a renewed interest in origami. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience! We did a workshop with my colleagues and we had such a good time, learning how to make traditional origami and Japanese culture. I highly recommend this experience, and will be happy to do it again to learn more origami techniques!

Fun and creative lesson by Manami! I like how she taught us about both techniques and the history of Origami, relating it all back to Japanese culture. This experience would be great for kids too.

I thought it was a very good experience with doing origami with family & friends. Especially during these COVID times. It gave a chance to meet future family. It was a good experience at the end of the Zoom to see our daughter get proposed to.
