I started my career as an environmental engineer but made a life style choice about 25 years ago. I have been a FAA Certified Flight Instructor for 30+ years, a PADI/NAUI Diver for 40 years and Guide in Everglades National Park for over 25 years. I have been on the Board of Directors of the Florida Guides Assn, the Florida Outdoor Writers Assn, the Florida Professional Paddlesports Assn, the Friends of Fakahatchee State Preserve and the Florida Society for Ethical Eco Tourism (FloridaSEE). Everglades Area Tours was one of the first tour providers to certified by FloridaSEE and is a testament to our dedication the sustainability not only to Florida's natural resources, but also its historical and cultural resources. I have been guiding eco-educational experiences here since the 1990's with the help of Heather, Don, Dan, Jerry and Ed.

Charles our host was very knowledgeable about the area and patient with our family. We were lucky to book last minute as I've noticed they are usually booked a day out. I'm so glad we were able to go. Our kids had an excellent time on Kice island finding shells, they even found a sea slug and starfish during low tide. We spotted several dolphins along the way and would stop to catch them in action as they fished. Such a special experience and definitely worth every penny.

There were 5 of us on this trip and everyone had a terrific time! I highly recommend using them. When we were out watching dolphins, we saw a larger tour boat, and we all agreed that Marco Island Dolphin was a much better way to see the sights. Our guide took us to an island that was made up entirely of shells. It really was amazing. We found several large live conchs (a foot long or more) as well as some really great shells. It was a great time that we all would do again in a heart beat!

Captain Ed was excellent - we saw a lot dolphins, Ed got them to play with us, jumping alongside/behind the boat; we collected a lot of cool shells; saw the crazy dome houses, and saw a lot of birds special to this part of the world.

nice ride. your shoes will def. get wet as you walk on the shelling portion of the trip. Could have used more dolphin interaction. We saw the same 2-3 for awhile. It was a fun afternoon, though! Kim was great!!
