Qué vas a hacer

Berlin has always been a city for alternative lifestyles and all kinds of misfits. It's a place that makes it easy to be who you really are. At the centre of this Berlin dream of freedom and hedonism was always the Kreuzberg district. From its beginnings as a working class district that gave thousands of newcomers a first home to the wild 80s and 90s, when the Berlin club scene really came into its own. We explore how immigrant communities , hippies and punks and all the other wonderful people that are the heart of Berlin have been shaping the city into what it is today. Kreuberg is Berlin in a nutshell with all the glorious and ugly things that entails. We to show you the real Berlin beyond the major sights including the conflicts that occupy its people's minds; who owns the city? Is it the real estate guys or the folk who make it theirs? We hear about gentrification, street art, riots and some incredible community projects. In the end, we hope you have an idea what makes us tick and why the city looks like it does.

Since 2004 Berlin on Bike is guiding tours through the German capital. Located in the Kulturbrauerei we start our tour in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, a former working class district.
Our guides are long-term residents with a passion for Berlin, its history and of course cycling around.
All of them love to share the experience to discover the city from the bike point of view.
So after the tour you will have a better understanding what makes Berlin such a compelling city to live in!

Dónde vas a estar

We start in the beautiful Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg a former working class district, that for a short time in the 90s was a proper wild-west-like place and is now a prototypical example for gentrification. From there to Friedrichshain where we still find clubs, squats and old industrial complexes turned into something new and exciting. Next is Kreuzberg, with its infamous Görlitzer Park, SO36, Landwehrkanal, Moritzplatz, Oberbaumbrücke

a good tour guide, taking care of , looking after us very well (provided us poncho when rained, checking everyone when we cross the big roads, etc.) It was a nice bicycle tour in Berlin to get to know its general history an location before exploring myself. Highly recommended before exploring the city by yourself.

Worth every penny. Paul was the perfect guide. Learned a lot about the history of Berlin and also got a glimpse of how it feels to bike around the city. Highly recommend this experience!
