VERY BASIC REMOTE BEAUTIFUL BUT NOT LUXURIOUS bothy in an idyllic situation - exposed stonework and wood. Bring own bedding and cooking stove. Basic pots crockery cutlery etc provided. Shared outdoor toilet, indoor bath heated by solid fuel stove. Wood can be bought for £13 a bucket and will be left for you to use if you want. Suits kayakers, experienced hillwalkers and island baggers. Please see reviews for more feedback. No Ulva ferry on Sat, and on Sunday only in June, July & August.

Refuge de l'Ermitage, sur une île.

Pour amant de la nature et dépaysement intense. Petit refuge sur pilotis, sur île privée, 1 étage 1/2, 2 chambres, cuisinette, poêle à bois, toilette sèche, sans électricité, ni WI FI, éclairage solaire. Situé au Lac au Saumon, au bord du Lac Angus, accès par bateau seulement, moteur et rames inclus. L'hiver l'accès ce fait en raquette. Activité à proximité; Kayak, canot; location a prix modique avec ceinture de sauvetage, pêche, randonnée pédestre, vélo, piste de ski de fond et raquette.

The Stilt House

Once the island Trading Post (in the 1820's) now serves as a private retreat on Westport Island. The whole property has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. The building is nestled at the water's edge, half on land and half on stilts over the tidal waters of the Sheepscot River. The property has its own private deck, island, rocky beach, trails and hammock. This is an old structure - over 200 years old! A great piece of history and an absolute oasis.
