We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

Our home property came with an old horse barn and stables and a feed room; two rooms under one roof. In 2018, we turned the horse barn and stables into The Ivywood Barn. Now we've converted the feed room into The Ivywood Barn Too! Two private rooms, two private entrances under one roof. So, if you're a party of 2, choose either side. If you're a party of 4, choose them both!

The cozy cottage in the woods is on the east side of Athens and near family-friendly activities, the airport, and nightlife (8 miles to athens). You’ll love the cottage because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, the coziness, the high ceilings, and the views. The cottage is located on the grounds of Sweet Olive Farm Animal Rescue and is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
