Recently transformed from a horse barn, Kayak Cottage now bears little resemblance to its former use - the hosts managed to retain the former barn's rustic charm while completely redesigning the structure. An eclectic mix of materials were re-purposed to create the welcoming space - both inside and out. Located on a rise above the Collins River - the river is not immediately visible but is only steps away! There is also easy access for launching kayaks or small fishing boats on the property.

Enjoy this rustic, yet cozy, two-story barnhouse located near bourbon country. Perfect for a couple's getaway, it has open lofts with a comfy king-sized bed, a kitchen stocked with all the essentials, laundry room, wood burning stove & two bathrooms: one with a walk-in shower & one with a soaker tub. A one of a kind farmstead experience, stay in a newly constructed barn on our 350 acre dairy farm. The Mattingly farm is home to Kenny's Cheese, farmstead cheese made right here on our farm and you have a unique opportunity to stay in the heart of the action, in our brand new apartments directly above the dairy barn. You will be welcomed by our friendly dairy cows and possibly a new baby calf, or two. And because our cheese is AMAZING, we will leave some in the fridge for you to try.

The view from your private deck is the best, bring your favorite drink and enjoy a piece of paradise in the country. No PETS PLEASE. Extra guest fee is $25.00 per person.

Our Rustic tiny suite is 175sqft of coziness! It is located in a portion of our barn lined and with cedar. Some items you'll see are antiques or eclectic items we've picked up along the way. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing. On a clear night there are so many beautiful stars to be seen without the city lights. There are plenty of great spots for a picnic too. Unwind and relax on the farm. Read a book, write music, grill, roam or just do nothing. It's your time. Enjoy it.

The Milk Barn Cottage

Built in the late 1940's as a working milk barn, the Milk Barn Cottage is 800 sq. ft of cozy comfort. The cottage is near the foot of Monteagle Mountain in the beautiful Pelham Valley. We are half-way between Nashville and Chattanooga, about 2 miles off exit 127 on I-24. The Caverns is about an 8 minute drive away. Pelham has quaint restaurants to visit plus all of the natural beauty in our area. We are also just 13 miles from Sewanee and the University of the South.
