High Pasture is a beautiful self-contained cottage, an ideal base for cyclists, walkers, city goers, golfers and those just wanting some peace and quiet to relax and unwind. In an idyllic setting, about 1.5 miles East of Hedley-on-the-Hill, on the Northumberland/Durham border with far reaching views. Extensively equipped kitchen incl. fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing m/c, microwave, coffee machine, toaster etc. We operate a "Contact-free" check-in and stay but we are close by if needed

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

There is a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee pod machine. There is NO COOKER! There is an AIR FRYER! A gas barbecue also available.

The Bunker@Garesfield GolfCourse

Welcome to our 12-person bunkhouse within grounds of the picturesque Garesfield Golf Club, just 30 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne, it provides a superb base for a range of outdoor activities such as golf on site and 10 other courses within a 20 minute radius, scenic walks and mountain bike trails in the nearby Chopwell Woods. The Club House over the courtyard is open to the public and will happily accommodate any catering and hospitality needs of guests.

This little oasis of green is in a super handy location on the edge of the greenbelt, yet near the Team Valley, Metrocentre and Newcastle. There's a bus stop directly outside, with buses into central Newcastle every 30min in the day. Watergate Forest Park is right next door, with a fantastic cafe, lake, swans & lots of other wildlife. We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.

TINY HOME Railway Carriage No.1 - Stunning Views

At the end of a wooded lane, through a farm gate, two 1930s cargo rail carriages recovered from the North East Railway have been transformed into cosy retreats at Lockhaugh Farm. Carriage No. 1 is one of four unique rentals, uniquely positioned where Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Northumberland converge. Wild swimming, fishing, cycling and endless walks are just beyond the gate. Star-filled skies, owls, deer and badgers await.
