Hytta ligger ideelt til, kun 200 meter til skiheisen, kafé, lekeplass, pumptrack og sykkelstier, samt langrennsløypene (100 meter unna). Hytta ligger ved foten av Hardangervidda 1030 moh. Det er nydelig turterreng rett utenfor hyttedøra med uendelige muligheter til naturopplevelser for små barneføtter til erfarene fjellfolk. Rett bak hytteveggen er det oppkjørte langrennsløyper som kan ta deg langt innover Hardangervidda eller rundt i nærområdet. Uvdal alpinsenter ligger kun 10 min unna med bil for fartsglade skientusiaster. Samtidig kan Dagali Fjellpark, Dagali opplevelser og Langedrag Naturpark by på spennende opplevelser.
