Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the lake, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This rustic retreat is located on the Illinois river and adjacent to the 5,255 acre National Wildlife Refuge. Whether you fish, watch wildlife from the back deck, relax by firepit or go duck hunting on the bay, you are sure to enjoy this peaceful stay with your family and friends. Wildlife includes bald eagles, whitetail deer, fox, herons, egrets and over 100 species of songbirds. Native prairie trails adjacent to property as well.

The Magnolia Diamond Cottage

You will find a peaceful, country feel yet still on the edge of convenience of Rushville. Old world style cottage is pet friendly with fenced yard area. Built with stained glass windows, plaster moldings, wood floors and woodwork, we are now offering entire home to rent. We have 3 bedrooms and 4 beds. Once used by seasonal farm labor in the 1930s, Bunkhouse Seventy-Four is a fully restored historic bunkhouse with all the modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Perfect for couples, it features a full kitchen, bath, queen bed, a spacious porch, beautiful antique stained glass windows, a private outdoor soaking tub (Apr-Nov) on a 7 acre hobby farm. If Quincy or Mt. Sterling are too far away, this is great for a family or Couple who come to the area for a wedding at one of the 3 local wedding venues. Hunters coming to the Golden Triangle of Whitetail Deer can stay for hunting season. Homeowners are local Pastors.
