At '235' you will have your own private space to enjoy day or night. The comfortable sofa bed can be made up ready for your arrival or left as a sofa for you to relax. Staying in the centre of town, close to takeaways, a brewery, galleries, shops, park and Carlingwalk Loch. Facilities include a 50" smart tv, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, table and chairs. Free WiFi. On street parking outside the property. I am happy to share local knowledge - places to visit, walk, eat and swim.

Idyllic old Gardeners Cottage with on site Sauna

* NEW FOR 2026 ON SITE SAUNA* we are delighted to now have Sauna by the Dee right on our doorstep. Guests can book online on the Sauna by the Sea website. Set a stones throw away from Loch Ken, the Gardeners Cottage is ideally located to explore the Galloway Forest park, the beautiful secluded beaches dotted along our coastline and of course Loch Ken. We are a five minute drive to Castle Douglas where there are supermarkets and restaurants, and on the outskirts Threave Gardens ( NTS ).

Oak Tree Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Rusko Stables

Contemporary luxury holiday accommodation for 6 people, Rusko Stables has been lovingly restored and converted from the original stables and coach house for Rusko House. The first floor apartment has a large and welcoming open plan sitting room/dining area and fully fitted kitchen with wood floors and furnished to the highest of standards. Rusko Stables is let weekly Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are welcome outwith High & Peak periods. STL:DG00127F EPC: D

We are also only 6 miles from the gorgeous town of Kirkcudbright with a range of lovely shops and eateries at the harbour front. This is the perfect peaceful and cosy getaway!
