Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Välkommen till Snickargården i natursköna Stora Mosshult, Tiveden! Här hyr ni ett charmigt nyrenoverat hus byggt 1886 med plats för upp till 8 gäster. I huset finns alla bekvämligheter från våran tid men med sparade detaljer från förr. Vandringsleder och badsjö finns inom gångavstånd. Tivedens sevärdheter ligger på nära avstånd och går att nå med cykel eller bil. Sängkläder, handdukar och slutstädning ingår. Vi kan tyvärr inte ta emot husdjur, då många av våra gäster är pälsallergiker.

Welcome to our cozy cabin! Nestled by the edge of a peaceful pool, you'll find a hot tub that comfortably accommodates up to five people, offering a stunning panoramic view of the lake. The jacuzzi and sauna is available year-round. The swimming pool is open until 6th of October, perfect for cooling off during warmer months. We also provide two paddleboards. Nature is just outside your door and in the evening you will watch the sun set over the lake. We look forward to welcoming you!

Mysig stuga nära Nationalpark

Ta en paus och varva ner i denna fridfulla oas. Fin sjöutsikt från stugan och ca 300 m till bad och grillplats vid sjön. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Välkommen till denna mysiga stuga ett stenkast från sjön Unden. Upptäck otrolig natur i Tivedens Nationalpark ca 15 min bort med bil. Där hittar ni vandringsleder, badplatser, MTB leder. Promenadavstånd till badplats vid sjön Unden. Ca 500 m från stugan. Ca 1 km från stugan finns centrala samhället där Tivedens lanthandel med restaurangdel finns. Tillval (meddela innan ankomst) - Slutstädning (900 kr) - Lakan och Handduk (200kr / person) - 1 Stand Up Paddleboard (200kr / dag)

Simsjön is a scenic and peaceful spot, perfect for escaping everyday stress and spending quality time together. You can borrow your own boat to explore the lake and enjoy fishing 🎣🌿

Nybyggt lyxigt strandhus (1) i Varamon Motala

Nybyggt attefallshus med absolut bästa läget på nordens längsta insjöbad och en av Sveriges finaste stränder. Med promenadstråk, caféer och restauranger är det en plats som har något för alla. Det långgrunda, rena vattnet ligger skyddat i en vik som är perfekt för surfing och kajak. Nära till padelbanor, tennisbanor, minigolf. Inga husdjur tillåtes. Lakan/handduk medtages själv, men kan hyras för 100 kr/person. Tillställningar/partyn undanbedes. Vattenpipor/rökning ej tillåtet!

Norra Vätterns pärla

På en ås med utsikt över norra Vätterns vackra skärgård ligger vårt moderna, nybyggda fritidshus med stora sällskapsytor och en fantastisk takhöjd med fina ljusinsläpp. Här kan en lite större grupp/familj finna återhämtning med närhet till naturen men ändå är det bara 10 minuter med bilen till den vackra lilla staden Askersund. Tivedens nationalpark ligger nära liksom den långa sandstranden Harjebaden. Huset stod klart hösten 2018 och har alla bekvämligheter.

Stuga i Tiveden Sannerud

Varmt välkommen till vårt lilla mysiga hus i Tiveden beläget i byn Sannerud. Stugan har två rum och kök med badrum. Här har du ett perfekt läge i byn där du kan äta och dricka gott på Lanthandel och restaurang Luripompa som ligger 10 minuters promenad från vårt hus. Du har också Tivedens nationalpark 15 minuters bilfärd nära. I anslutning till huset finns flera av Tivedens cykel- och vandringsleder. Bad finns 15 minuters promenad nära.

Sandbacken modern cottage in the forest

A typical charming Swedish red cottage in lovely surroundings. Around 15 min walk to a beautiful lake Toften. Swimming, fishing, birdwatching, hiking, mountainbike ride, ice skating in the winter. Fully equipped house with all year around standards that can accomodate 6 people. It is very quiet and peaceful place. Towels and bedsheets are included ! Skagern Lake House

A lake house above average, the house was built in 2020. The house is located in a small neighbourhood area, there is also a newly built loft in a building next to the lake house which will be available to rent as well. The loft has space for 2 people, with access to a double bed, without toilet and water. This will accessible in the original lake house. We do not accept animals in the house.
