Artful Contemporary Oasis on the Edge of Dartmoor

The Potting Shed is a light, homely space, cleverly and beautifully designed, with a luxury bed to rest in after a day walking on the moor or at the beach. A peaceful, private hideaway, which is accessible, with underfloor heating, wood burning stove and skylights. Open 2 sets of bi-folding doors to let fresh country breezes circulate. Wander out to a split-level garden for a spot of sunshine. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patios to the side and rear, a back garden and the handcrafted bat palace to sit in whatever the weather or evening time with a fire. The Potting Shed and studio building in our garden on the edge of the National Park in the unique town of Ashburton. The Potting Shed overlooks Place woods and is a secluded eco space designed and built by us with thermostatically controlled underfloor heating, powered by an air source heat pump and Morso wood burning stove. In the summer, open both bifold doors to experience birdsong and take in the beautiful green canvas of trees ahead of you. We have created a light, homely space with design classics and luxury bed to rest after a day walking on the moor or at the beach. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patio spaces to the side and rear of the property, a back garden and behind the handcrafted bat palace. Pick your time and your spot to hang out and enjoy the BBQ /firepit. There is plenty of parking on the lane however there is a dedicated parking space for guest at the property. We are close to a local school which also runs a sports centre (Ashmoor Centre), where guests can book tennis courts, attend exercise classes and a gym after 3.30pm in term times and all day at the weekends and during school holidays. There may be some ambient noise in the distance from the school during term time.

Picturesque 17th Century Stone Cottage

This attractive Grade II cottage is in a quiet alleyway in the centre of Ashburton, a stannary town in the Dartmoor National Park; the perfect location for a visit to the Devon countryside. The living/dining room is spacious and the well-equipped kitchen has a large cooker and a breakfast area. Ashburton offers antique shops galore, plus lots of food choices with a fantastic deli , an award-winning fish deli and an artisan bakery in the town centre, and there are many traditional pubs close by.

Cosy walker’s retreat in The Old Mill on Dartmoor

Situated on the Two Moors Way, this is a perfect bolthole after a day exploring. This self-contained tiny annexe with private entrance is attached to a 550 year-old former Mill in the rural hamlet of Ponsworthy, 3 miles from the famous Widecombe. The property is part of a Victorian School House recently converted to a luxury 2 double bedroom apartment in the heart of Ashburton. Sleeps max 4 people. One Super king converts to a twin room on request. It has a loft style feel with its vaulted ceilings. 2 ensuite high spec bathrooms with Heat Recovery Ventilation. Ideal base for short winter/summer weekend breaks or holidays with beach 20 min away or Dartmoor 5 mins. Pubs, eateries, shops and wine bar a hopping distance away.

The Apiary is a converted hayloft sitting at the end of a 16th Century Dartmoor Farmhouse, a short ten-minute walk from Widecombe in the Moor and 200m from the Two Moors Way. With it’s own private parking & entrance, the elegantly furnished room features an eclectic mix of antique furniture and Smeg kitchen appliances. From April to August, wander 50m down the road to a five-acre wildflower meadow with a Dartmoor stream and a collection of wild orchids & swathes of native wildflowers.

Located on the edge of the pretty village of Landscove, just east of Dartmoor National Park, with a brilliant local pub and tearooms within walking distance and stunning rivers, beaches and historic towns nearby, it has everything you need to relax and recharge.

Shuttaford - Modern Rustic Barn in Dartmoor Valley

Shuttaford Barn is a recently converted barn on a 16thC Dartmoor farmstead on the edge of the moors next to Holne and Ashburton. It is the perfect spot to explore the wilds of Dartmoor National Park, walk along the beautiful River Dart or head to the many South Devon beaches for the day. Or just relax in the peaceful surroundings of the barn and its garden. In summer months we generally do Friday to Friday bookings. Please message us if you would like to book alternative days.

Penthouse apartment in Ashburton

Just a 3-minute walk to the heart of the vibrant little historic town of Ashburton with some great eateries, delis and antiques. This spacious and comfortable flat has a large and fully equipped open-plan kitchen and very convenient allocated parking. It's on the top floor of a restored and charming Grade 2 Listed building. The apartment is normally my family home with my 2 children. It's a great location on the edge of Dartmoor and close to the beaches of south Devon.
