Misty Isle Acres

Our homestead, Misty Isle Acres, is our little imperfect oasis, nestled within the beautiful Helderberg hilltowns of Albany county. Our in-law apartment contains a bedroom, full bathroom, and living room with TV (inc. Netflix & Disney+), DVD player, and futon. There is an enclosed porch and deck, complete with tables, chairs, and grill. We also have a large pond and woods to explore. Please note, this is a working homestead; the grass isn't always mowed and sometimes there are animal smells.

Come rest up in our private, cozy, and eclectic 3rd floor apartment. Our 1908 Colonial style home is located on Union St in Schenectady. I live on the first floor apartment so I am on site to help with anything. The bedroom has full sized memory foam bed. There is a full sized futon in the living room. One parking spot for guests. Our 225 acre farm is predominantly forested, with miles of hiking trails and incredible views. Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany, we are the last home on a dead end road and have multiple secluded rentals. We are a homestead devoted to the principles of organic farming and self reliance. We grow much of our own food and forge many types of wild mushrooms. You will be sure to enjoy friendly animals around the farm and a private fenced Koi pond.

We are looking for longer term stays and the price reflects that. Short term may be declined or a higher rate may be charged depending on length of stay. Let us know your needs! Feel free to ask any questions. Ideal for folks in town for longer stays. There is Laundry on the property in the basement of adjacent building not in this building. Please inquire about the door code and bring quarters and laundry soap. Laundry should only be done between 8am-8pm only.
