Welcome to Kanda East, our lovingly restored home that dates back to the 1970s. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind, while being a 1-minute walk to one of the best cafes in the area, a 3-minute walk to our local beach that's great for snorkelling and swimming, and less than 10 minutes walk to our nearest surf spot. The house comes with its own private pool too, an essential in the Tropics! For larger groups, Kanda West adjoins this property, and sleeps two extra people in one bedroom.

DevilRock Bungalows features two distinct accommodations, SAND and OCEAN, both located in the same charming house, which was once the old teachers' house in Kapparathota, where children used to gather for Sunday school. Newly renovated in late 2024 and early 2025, both bungalows offer modern comforts while retaining their unique charm. Although they share a common structure, each bungalow provides total privacy and offers a unique ambiance, making them feel like two worlds apart. This is SAND!

With a long coral reef all along the beach just 70m from the sand it forms our famous natural swimming pool. Sometimes you can swim with giant turtles. You can swim all year round and 24 hours a day. We provide all services you need. From airport transfers to tours or day trips, fishing, snorkeling along the reef to scuba diving from Unawatuna Dive Center, meals and drinks, Ayurveda Treatments to Yoga lessons. Just steps away from the best cafes, restaurants, bars, beaches and breaks, Studio Aurora is at the center of it all! During high season town can be busy and noise from the local bars on may disturb some guests.
